WAYS YOU CAN HELP: We can all make a difference!

Feeding Hungry Children

Small Hands Make BIG Change!
A unique aspect of our backpack program is the bags are actually packed by other local students at nearby schools!  Kids, as young as 2nd grade, are volunteering their time after school to make sure hungry children are fed.  It is a “full-circle” program that promotes awareness and philanthropy.

In these desperate times, these children, our future, need help now!

$125.00 feeds a child for a year. Please help.

For further information about the program and what you can do to help,

In 2014, there were 30.4 million children in our country receiving free or reduced lunch at school.[1]
What happens to those children on the weekends and holidays?

The Warren Backpack Program began in 2008 with the mission to help alleviate hunger for these children by picking up where state funding leaves off.

Helping your local community!

Nutritionally balanced non-perishables are packed and distributed to homeless and needy students at LOCAL Title 1 elementary schools (schools with a large number of low-income students) in child-friendly, discreet backpacks for the weekends and holidays during the school year.
